In 1661 Henry Jermyn, Earl of St. Albans and former Ambassador to Paris and The Hague obtained a grant of Crown land from Charles II to develop a residential neighbourhood in the area known as St James’s Field.
Jermyn Street has been the home to many distinguished residents during its time, including influential scientist Sir Isaac Newton, William Pit and, Sir John Churchill the 1st Duke of Marlborough.
During World War II, Jermyn Street was damaged by a Luftwaffe parachute mine, and several of the buildings around the Tricker’s Jermyn Street store suffered severe damage, with some being destroyed. Our store thankfully survived the explosion.
67 Jermyn Street in the heart of St James’ has been Tricker’s home in London since 1938. The only place to get a completely tailor-made service is at our London store. We are renowned for our classic needlework detail, impeccable timeless styles and use of the finest of materials. As well as producing beautiful footwear, our Jermyn Street store also specialises in shoe accessories and care products such as polish, brushes and wax.
